Overview

Skip the shared vehicle and enjoy Qatar's desert privately. Your experienced safari driver collects your group from anywhere in Doha and drives you to the Sealine dunes for adrenaline-filled dune bashing, followed by sandboarding, camel riding and photo stops at the Inland Sea. Because it is private, you choose how long to stay at each stop and how extreme the dune bashing should be – perfect for families with children, couples and photographers. Tours run 4–5 hours continuously with 2pm or 3pm start times so you can catch the desert sunset.

What to expect

Wear light, comfortable clothing, sunglasses and sunscreen, and bring a light layer for the evening. Closed shoes are fine, but you will probably end up with sand in them, so many guests prefer sandals. Dune bashing is energetic: it is not recommended for pregnant guests, anyone with back or neck problems, or young babies. Your driver will explain the safety rules before leaving the paved road.
