Day 1: classic Doha
Start at the Corniche and the Museum of Islamic Art, spend the afternoon at Souq Waqif and watch the lanterns come on at dusk. It is an easy first day that helps you adjust to the climate and the rhythm of the city.
Day 2: desert adventure
Spend the day on a desert safari. Dune bashing, sandboarding and a camel ride are the highlights, and many guests extend to the Inland Sea. Return to your hotel for a quiet evening.
- Sunset or morning safari depending on the season
- Wear closed shoes and light, loose clothing
- Bring a scarf for sand and sun
Day 3: modern Qatar
Use the final day for the newer side of the country: Katara Cultural Village, the pigeon towers, Lusail's skyline and a sunset by the water. If you have time, add the National Museum of Qatar, whose Desert Rose architecture is one of Doha's signature sights.
Swap-in ideas
If you travel with children, swap a museum for Snow Dunes, a gondola ride at Villaggio or a water park. If you love architecture, add Msheireb Downtown and Education City.

Put it on the middle day so you are acclimatised but not tired from the end of the trip.
